WHO WE ARE
Supported by the Co-op and using the combined consortium efforts of local dance organisations that make up its Strategic Advisory Group (Dance Mama, GLive and Made By Katie Green), Surrey Dance Network exists to create a more efficient and effective framework for dance professionals to connect, collaborate and create more opportunities for themselves which in turn will enrich the county’s cultural offer.

Surrey has a vast range of dance activity on offer - from community dance classes, professional site-specific dance works in Surrey’s heritage sites, specialisms in dance science, dance classes for those with Parkinson’s, large-scale participation events, inclusive dance, syllabus-based learning schools, adult dance studios, international-level expertise on parenting in dance, support for teachers delivering dance in schools, movement direction in theatre, film, TV, home to two prestigious training centres (GSA and Italia Conti), five National Portfolio Organisations (NPO) organisations with a focus on dance (New Adventures, Stop Gap, Freewheelers, Amina Khayyam Dance Company and Second Hand Dance) and welcoming to visiting companies and artists on tour such as Motionhouse, Tom Dale and James Wilton.
🤩 We're a friendly group who create opportunities for professionals to meet, share ideas and raise awareness of opportunities (funding, performances and jobs).

Motionhouse brought Hidden to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre on 20th May 2025, so we met with other Network members at 7pm for a chat and a chance to meet Associate Director, Daniel Massarella.
Catching up with other members of the dance community as well as supporting our visiting colleagues sparks ideas, connection and joy.
Here's Lucy (aka The Dance Mama) with her daughter enjoying this breathtaking show!
